Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new type of virus, namely Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) which can cause respiratory infections, cold, and end up death. PT J&T is one of the most dominating freight forwarding companies in Indonesia, and is able to provide a quick delivery service. With COVID-19, online shopping in Kupang is increasing, so employees are delivering more stuff and meeting more customers. This affects a high risk of exposure to COVID-19 for employees if they do not implement health protocols properly. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of COVID-19 prevention among employees of PT J&T Kupang City. This research is a type of quantitative research with analytical descriptive design. The results of this study indicate that most J&T employees have a good level of knowledge of 47 people (92%), good attitudes of 43 people (84%), and 48 people (94%) good behavior in applying 5M (wearing masks, m physical distance maintain, hands wash, stay away from crowds, and less mobilitation) properly to prevent COVID-19, but a small number of employees have not implemented health protocols properly. Knowledge is an important aspect that needs to be considered in forming positive beliefs and attitudes to solve problems, especially related to COVID-19. Attitude is one of the factors that influence the prevention of a person's disease outbreak, because disease prevention must be related to a person's attitude. Behavior must also be based on public awareness that actually already knows various knowledge related to health protocols or the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing them well in daily life to improve the health status of employees, communities and families.
