Abstract

It is shown the deep structure model of the consolidated crust of Volyn megablock of Ukrainian Shield along geotraverse II on the results of complex interpretation geological and geophysical data. For the construction of the section the method of initial potential fields (gravity and magnetic) transformation were used in order to obtain the spatial distribution of effective density and magnetization, as well as the complex effective parameter that allowed to allocate the deep crust heterogeneity as an anomalies system caused by geological objects of different ranks. Three major regional structures (two sincline and one anticline types) are divided in the lateral crust section. On the surface of the crystalline basement the anticline type geographically coincides with the area ofCentral Korostenfault, which separates Volodarsk-Volyn and Chepovichy gabroanortozit block of Korosten pluton. It is shown the rock composition of the deep crust horizons on the basis of the alignment of the deep section with a geological map of the crystalline basement and comparing it with existing seismogeological and petrodensity models.
