Abstract
The article discusses a proposed trade ban of bluefin tuna by officials at the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) in Doha, Qatar, that would take the fish off Japanese menus. Topics include how the ban will be enforced, such as through DNA analysis to identify banned species, and an overview of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), which set bluefin tuna catch quotas.
