Abstract

This work was undertaken to examine the control effect of nematicide in the tea garden. The results were summarized as follows :-1. The control effect of nematicide (DBCP) against the root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne sp.) in the young tea garden was very remarkable. The growth of tea plants was in good results, and few tea plants died during the growth. il2. Against the root-lesion nematode (Pratylenchus sp.) in the mature tea garden, the DBCP application caused the same results as against the root-knot nematode. The vigor of plant was increased, and the yield was promoted about 30% of the check.3. Standard application of DBCP was 3-5l. of 80% emulsion or 25-30 kg. of 20% granule per 10 ares.4. For the control of nematodes in the nursery, chloropicrin and D-D were applied with excellent results in the former. In case of D-D applicantion the root-lesion caused by soil fungus was still remained.
