Abstract

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) hold a dominant position at the core of modern school innovativeness. The case study research presented in this paper focuses on the administration of a Greek public elementary school in a challenged urban area. In this paper a detailed description of the role of a public primary school head in the introduction and management of ICT innovation is given. Its aim is to reflect and evoke awareness for the crucial role of school administration in promoting and diffusing innovation through ICT practices. Findings can motivate further study on the impact of ICT innovation in schools with grave social challenges.
