Abstract
Introduction: Since the origin of the term lifestyle in the new era is western, it is good to investigate this term within its context. Materials and Methods: Although the term lifestyle along with the way of life, thrift, quranic style, and the ways and methods of life have had religious application, and since the advent of Islam this term has been processed in Quran and Islamic narratives, and biography of the prophet (PBUH) and the household (AS), the difference between the principles, approaches, and assumptions of all types of lifestyles should be specified. Results: Lifestyle indicates different methods of life such as the difference between urban and rural life. This term can also compare life methods discovered by different groups of society, such as the youth, unemployed, and gays Conclusion: Lifestyle is an interdisciplinary subject which various sciences have entered it. Different concepts of the term are applicable in different cultures, and nationalities. Therefore, different perceptions and definitions of lifestyle have been presented.
