Abstract
The report is focused on the concept of music, which is revealed in the context of global trends of Eurasian cultures’ development. On the basis of lexical, historical, mythological, philosophical and culturological analysis the author makes conclusions about global dissemination of this concept in all cultures in Eurasia; the author discloses the peculiarities and the General principles of its functioning in the European and Asian cultures in terms of development of the Eurasian biculture; the author makes a conclusion about the losses and, at the same time, the expansion of its semantic field in the context of globalization.
