Abstract

The relationship between Ca and Al in chondrites and basaltic achondrites has been examined and is shown to be remarkably close. According to our data, Ti, Zr and Sr show a like relationship, which however, may not be so well-developed. The available data in the literature show that Sc, Y, Rare Earths, Ba, U and Th have similar trends. All the above elements have been classed as the Ca-Al group. Their behaviour is important when considering theories of origin of the meteorites and of other members of the solar system.
