Abstract

A simple monopol mass spectrometer, model MX 7304, with the ion source 1560014-T01 (Electron, Ukraine) will be manufactured industrially for application in organic chemistry only. Nevertheless, there was a need to employ such an instrument in Knudsen cell mass spectrometry. The combination of a monopol analyzer with a convenient high temperature Knudsen cell is reported. The efficiency of the device has been proved by detailed experiments. Second law heats of sublimation are given for several metals (Co, Cu, Fe, Ni) which agree well with compiled literature values.
