Abstract
The audit of poultry breeding and the measure of prevalence of coccidiosis were made on 02 bands ( 74,000 and 48,000 subjects) in a renowned region for being hot and dry ( Biskra). Although buildings are modern, the indices of production do not reach the required standards (188 and 173 Vs 220). the high densities , the lack of material and especially the defect of hygiene, seem to be the main favouring causes. The breedings, although free of coccidiosis (S.L.M = 0), they records strong rates of accumulated mortality (5 % and 11.8 %).
