Abstract

Objective To evalute the efficacy and the oxicity reaction of semimonthly oxalipclation combined with 5-Fu and leucovorin in treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.Methods Forty patients with advanced colorectal cancer received semimonthly combined chemotherapy of L-OHP(100mg/m2,iv.gtt for 2h,d1)in fusion followed by 2-hour in fusion of CF(200mg/m2,iv.gtt,d1)then intravenous bolus of 5-Fu 400mg/m2,then 48-hour infusion of 5-Fu2 500mg/m2 using an ambulatory pump.The treatment schedule was recycled every 14 days.One cycle consisted of twice chemotherapy regimens.The curative effect was evaluated two weeks later,and the response for effective patients were confirmed four weeks later.Results The total response rate was 47.5%in which CR 4 cases,PR 15cases,SD 16cases and PD 5cases of forty patients.The major toxic effects were neuro-sensory toxicity,mucositis,nausea and vomiting,bone marrow suppression etc.Conclusions Semimonthly L-OHP combined with 5-Fu and leucovorin regimen is effective in treatment of advanced colorectalcancer,and its toxiCity reaction is tolerable.
