Abstract

Objectives To study the clinical effects of transurethral resection in the treatment of cystitis glandularis.Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data of 84 cases was performed.The cases were divided into 2 groups by its treating method.Group Ⅰ:Treated by transurethral resection ; Group Ⅱ:Treated by transurethral resection combined with bladder instillation of drug.The cases were followed-up to study its effect and prognosis.Results Seventy nine cases were followed up for 0.5 ~ 1 years.The total curative rate was 75.9% (60/79).The curative rate in groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ was 78.8% (41/52) and 70.4% (19/27).The causes of cystitis glandularis in 17 cases were found and taken off,and all of them were cured.While in the other cases the causes were not found and the curative rate was 69.4% (43/62).Conclusions The clinical effects of transurethral resection in the treatment of cystitis glandularis is notable.We should try to find and take off the causes of cystitis glandularis when treating it.
