Abstract

Objective To study the clinical effect of comprehensive nursing care in the perioperative nursing of patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery for resection of mediastinal tumors. Methods 64 patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic mediastinal tumor resection treated in our hospital from March 2016 to March 2017 were randomly divided into control group (n=32) and experimental group (n=32). The patients in the control group were given postoperative routine nursing intervention, while the patients in the experimental group were given perioperative comprehensive nursing intervention. The postoperative nursing satisfaction score, the mastery degree of disease related knowledge, treatment compliance, and the incidence of complications of the two groups were compared. Results The nursing satisfaction score, the mastery degree of disease related knowledge, treatment compliance, and the incidence of complications of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group [(96.54±5.24) vs.(80.25±6.54), (90.21±4.58) vs.(74.54±4.56), (89.56±5.23) vs.(69.56±4.31), 6.25% vs.31.25%], with statistically significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of comprehensive nursing care in the perioperative nursing of patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in mediastinal tumor resection is significant, which can reduce the incidence of complications and improve the nursing satisfaction, worthy of clinical application.
