Abstract

Objective To investigate the causes,clinical prevention and treatment of contralateral oular surface injury during eye surgery preoperative disinfection.Methods We retrospectively analyzed 21 cases of contralateral oular surface injury that were caused by 0.5% povidone-iodine and 75% alcohol during eye surgery preoperative disinfection.They were treated with psychological induction and drug treatment.Results Ocular surface injury caused by disinfectant has multiple risk factors.21 cases were successfully treated.Conclusion Our investigation suggests that the contralateral ocular surface injury by disinfectant during eye surgery disinfection may be successfully treated with early diagnosis and proper treatment and may be avoided if we can take the effective preventive measure.
