Abstract

In this autobiographical memoir, the author examines her childhood in Israel through the lens of forests being planted in modern-day Israel. The author remembers her vacation trips to the forests outside Tel Aviv, and juxtaposes those memories to contemporary Israel-Palestine conflicts, and the rhetoric of those early days in the example of the forests that were built on Palestinian lands, but funded and operated by the Jewish National Fund and its eventual administration by Israel.
