Abstract

Pascal Fugier speaks of the demonstrable effects of a participatory and clinical research initiative conducted with social workers concerning the evolution of their function and the prevention of young people’s involvement in drug trafficking. In a chapter entitled ‘The circulation and emergence of knowledge and practices between youth professionals: the central issue of collaborative clinical research’, he demonstrates the dynamics according to which the participatory nature of the project contributes to the defense and recognition of the core profession of social workers – the relationship of help and support – and advocates for a clinic of change that contributes to the emergence of reflective practitioners and organizations.
