Abstract

The structures of himbadine (I) and its de-N-methyl derivative (II), alkaloid G.B. 13, proposed on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic characterization were confirmed by several partial syntheses from the ester alkaloid, himandrine (III), of known structure.
