Abstract

Dye sensitized solar cells have gained great interest for one decade because of easy fabrication and low cost. In this study, we synthesized various transparent conductive oxide (TCO) electrodes and metal oxide layers in laboratory for dye sensitized solar cells via spray pyrolysis technique. XRD results confirmed that the antimony doped tin oxide (ATO), flor doped tin oxide (FTO) and indium tin oxide (ITO) thin film TCO electrodes were fabricated successfully. UV–Vis spectrometer was employed to obtain transmittance and band gap energy values of the films. According to the UV–Vis spectrometer, all TCO films almost have 80% optical transmittance. The sheet resistance values were obtained by four-point probe technique for all TCO electrodes. SEM was performed for surface morphology of the TCO electrodes and SnO2, ZnO and Zn doped TiO2 metal oxides on the various TCOs. The TCO electrodes and metal oxide layers have homogeneous surfaces.
