Abstract

Objective: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common reproductive and endocrine disorders in women of reproductive age. More than 80% of PCOS patients are overweight/obese. However, the mechanism of PCOS and its combined overweight/obesity remains unclear. Recent studies have found that gut microbiota may be involved in the development of PCOS. This study investigates the characteristics of gut microbiota in overweight/obese PCOS patients.
