Abstract
The paper analyzes the difficulties of determining the quality profile of higher education in the field of study "Electrical Engineering" in Ukraine. It is substantiated that the reasons consist in the lack of a system of mechanisms capable of assessing the educational quality in a wide range of its perfection and in various fields of training, especially, the national ranking in general (institutional) and sectoral (subject) versions. The possibility to use the leading world university rankings such as ARWU, THE World University Rankins and QS World University Rankins with this purpose is considered. The implementation in Ukraine within the framework of the Bologna process of European experience of providing the quality of higher education based on its standardization and accreditation is analyzed. Relevant recommendations concerning the creation of the profile of the quality of higher education in general and in the field of study "Electrical Engineering" in particular are formulated.
