Abstract
The paper deals with the analysis of the problems of organization and functioning of the network of electrical and energy higher education in Ukraine, which consists entirely of state-owned institutions. It has been found out that this network is characterized by great disparities by regions, institutes, specialties and levels of training of bachelors, masters and doctors of philosophy, which prevents full and high-quality meeting the needs of the labor market. It is especially relevant for the post-war reconstruction of the country on a high-tech and innovative basis. In some regions, there is a shortage of providers of such training for certain specialties and levels of higher education. At the same time, institutions that do not belong to the field of higher education provide the education of bachelors without necessity. To improve the network, legislative and financial regulators, monitoring tools are not fully involved, the concept of increasing the competitiveness of universities due to their regional consolidation, based on advanced European and world experience, is not implemented. Appropriate recommendations for optimizing the network of higher education in the field of study “Electrical Engineering” in Ukraine have been formulated.
