Abstract
This research report presents a new teaching and learning model in engineering classes. The proposed learning module is called the “Constructionist Computer Aided Instructional Learning Model” (CCAILM). This new model was derived from constructionist learning theory, the media-affects-learning hypothesis and the multiple representation principle. The process of knowledge construction, when an engineering lecture is delivered and learnt using a CCAILM approach, as well as the instructional strategies and steps prescribed in the CCAILM teaching and learning environment, arealso discussed in this report.Key words: engineering education, undergraduate, engineering modules, learning and teaching models
