Abstract

1976, the bicentennial year of the publication of Adam Smith's famous book, sent many persons profitably delving into The Wealth of Nations, for much of what he wrote is still relevant to present‐day needs. In particular, his observations regarding specialisation merit serious thought for those involved in post‐school education.
