Abstract

Abstract This paper describes the calculation methods of optimum phase matching angles for optical parametric oscillation in biaxial crystals. The calculation is carried out for 9 biaxial crystals which are KTiOPO4 (KTP), KNbO3(KN), HCOOLi · H2O (LFMH), HCOOLi0.9Na0.1 · H2O (LSFMH), HCOONa, Ba2NaNb5O15 (BANANA), C7H4O6SNa · 3H2O(DSS), C6N2O3H6 (3-POM) and meta-nitroaniline (m-NA). The pump wavelength is 355 nm, 532 nm, 694.3 nm or 1064 nm respectively. The PM type is type I, type IIA or type IIB. The output wavelength can be changed even to 4000 nm. The results are useful for the application of these biaxial crystals in OPO.
