Abstract
The calculation of non-steady static microfiltration of suspensions in cartridge-type units has been developed. It is based on mass and energy balance equations and founded on sieve mechanism of separation. The model accounts for a mutual energy interdependence between flows both in feed and in permeate channels and also particle-size distribution of suspension to be separated. The model consists of analytical equations and permits stimulation or analysis of the influence of various factors to permeate flux and concentration. It also permits prediction of their behavior on time.
