Abstract

The C 1Π u and 2 1 Σ u + states of lithium dimer are investigated experimentally by polarization labelling spectroscopy. The inverted perturbation approach method is used to construct the potential energy curves of both states. A very good agreement is found between the experimental potentials and those resulting from the most recent theoretical calculations.
