Abstract
The Burnett Lairds of Kemnay were Baptists for the whole nineteenth century but only hints of their activities have hitherto been published, except in ephemeral form. This paper seeks to shed light on part of the story of Christopher Anderson, and to honour two Scottish country gentlemen who lived through and contributed to significant eras of evangelical history.
