Abstract
BTeV is a Fermilab beauty and charm colliding-beam physics experiment that is expected to become operational after 2007. It is unique in that tracking and vertexing are done in the Level 1 trigger in real time by large parallel processing farms. This article will detail the progress that has been made in designing and testing the trigger components needed to build such a system. The current trigger status and future research and development will also be presented.
