Abstract

Abstract Recent work on measuring the Br⊘nsted acidity of some transition metal carbonyl hydrides is reviewed. The basicity of low-valent transition metal complexes and the mechanism of addition of HX to planar ML4 complexes is also discussed. Finally some further consequences of having a weak metal-hydrogen bond are presented.
