Abstract

Biomedical Ethics education world-wide has taken the time required for the ethics domain to develop as a discipline. Saudi Arabia is no exception. The paper is a narrative of the experience the single author had gone through over a period of more than three decades until a Master's degree programme in Biomedical Ethics from Islamic perspective has been developed. The UNESCO Core Curriculum is being scrutinized to serve the purpose of cultural compatibility. The main aim of the work is to provide guidance for developing culturally sensitive curricula to meet diverse cultural requirements. Obstacles and hurdles along that route are being described.
