Abstract

After observing the increasing acceleration in the rate of growth and development through successive generations of rats subjected to the continuous injection of thymus extract (1), it was felt that the problem could also be approached by studying the effects of frequent homologous implants in two groups of animals: the first, a group from which the thymi had been surgically removed, and the second a group of normal stock animals. The results in the former experiment have been recorded in another communication.
