Abstract
Aim: Galectin-3, a β-galactoside-binding lectin, is secreted by macrophages and involved in inflammation and fibrosis. Galectin-3 has emerged as a biomarker for heart faiure, but studies reporting galectin-3 levels in CAD or PAD were scarce.
