Abstract
The author investigates the hypothesized link between a nation's domestic and international conflict levels utilizing events data and the operationalized concept of the nation's Normal Relations Ranges. The case of Syrian behavior between 1948 and 1973 is examined with particular emphasis on her dyadic foreign relations with nations in the Middle East region. A link between the two behaviors is shown to occur under particular circumstances.
