Abstract

“The present research explores the role that art plays in learning Greek as a foreign language by refugees and immigrants, but also the obstacles that arise in its use as a means of teaching tool. The quantitative research was carried out through questionnaires and results showed that, teachers support the positive effect of art on all students' language skills. The research questions of the study concern: How does the didactic use of art affect the obstacles that arise during the learning of the Greek language?; To what extent do educators believe that the use of a variety of art forms helps learners to improve their language skills?; How do learners experience the course process when combined with art-related activities?; Does the didactic use of art affect the participation and interest of adult learners?; Are there instances in which the use of art encounters obstacles in its teaching or design?”
