Abstract

The Islamic culture is drawn from the principles of our true and upright religion which are characterized by being comprehensive and universal. Hence، we are enjoined to protect and safeguard this heritage from being destroyed and lost. It is entrusted to us to be guarded with our life for the favor of our generation and the upcoming generations. To this end، I am doing my part through this paper in trying to re-alerting to not to compromise same and to give serious consideration to digging out and reviving these treasures which are buried in cupboards into existence; as well as، updating the research approach of this heritage-based system in the era of digitization. Therefore، some problems obstructing same were highlighted and the importance of the codicology was spotlighted. Furthermore، this paper is trying to address these problems: can we achieve a better-than-now heritage manuscript quality? How are the digitization and the artificial intelligence serving the manuscript? The requirements that are set for this research include: being concise، and not delving deep into the definitions or being lengthy while explaining the terminology. Since the brevity is the soul of wit، hence I got by with only what serves the research parameters. To achieve all the aforementioned، by Allah’s ability and capacity، this paper included the following axes: - Introduction: - The First Axis: The Arabic manuscripts: - The Second Axis: The issues that are facing the manuscripts and the investigator: - The Third Axis: The manuscripts in the era of digitization: The conclusion included recommendations and references for the participants’ notice that are taken from especially designed websites to download global library catalogues، and ready-to-download written manuscripts. key words: The Arabic manuscript, the digitization of the Arabic manuscript, the problems of the Arabic manuscript, the conditions for achieving the Arabic manuscript, the Arabic manuscript and modern technology
