Abstract
Objective To understand the influence of mobile nursing information system in nursing work through working hour measurement. Methods The workload of each nurse was measured by working hour measuring method in December 2013 and January 2016 respectively. Results After using the mobile nursing system, the patients in each ward had more direct nursing time than before.Indirect nursing time and nursing record time were decreased compared with those before use.The proportion of nursing record time in patients' indirect nursing time was lower than before use, and the satisfaction of nurses and patients was higher than before use.And the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The application of mobile nursing information system enables nurses to approach patients and close to patients.It increases the time of direct nursing, reduces the time of indirect nursing, improves the efficiency and quality of nursing, and improves the satisfaction of nurses and patients.
