Abstract

We performed single-channel, single-component random phase approximation calculations for dense He and Li plasmas for an electron temperature of kT=10 eV . Results are presented for excitation energies and oscillator strengths for the (1,2)s−np (n=2−5) transitions using both the ion-sphere and ion-correlation (IC) models. Our results indicate that ion correlations are not a significant effect for these systems and conditions.
