Abstract

Both general changes in pore volume and irreversible changes taking place in the porous structure of F-1 polyarylate samples were examined by filling the pores with mercury at high pressure during porometric measurements. It was shown that results obtained concerning porous structural parameters of polymers by mercury porometry are too high which is basically due to reversible forced elastic deformation in the polymer by the effect of high pressure during the experiment.
