Abstract
Described here is the upgrading of tin is described a naturally occurring ore by selective densified aggregation. Improvement factors as large as 25 with good recoveries have been obtained in a single step using fatty-acid-type activators and liquid petroleum bridging liquids. The agglomeration takes place simultaneously with the comminution of the original ore in conventional grinding equipment. Further fractionation steps should be possible.
