Abstract

Abstract The growing textile industries face challenges to up-cycle and recycle their textile wastes into useful industrial products. There is a lack of study on recycled textile applications in buildings. This paper aims to explore the process of textile recycling technology for spatial design application. The objectives are to investigate innovative design solutions from the activity of recycling (process) textile waste. The methodology used in this study is from case studies. The case studies reviewed material products, innovative space and design strategies. The findings highlight effective design aspects to be applied in the proposed design.
