Abstract
Objective To investigate the application of radiosurgery in the procedures of distichiasis. Methods Seven cases (11 eyes) of congenital or postnatal distichiasis were treated with radiosurgery combining Dortzbach.Radiosurgery was used in making the incision and destructing the abnormal hair follicle. Results Followed-up 3.5-13 months,the corneal irritation disappeared in all cases,8 eyes gained ideal results with the distichiasis corrected,and the limbus palpebralis normal shape was remained by the light scars after operation.The total recovery rate was 72.73％. Conclusions Radiosurgery in the treatment of distichiasis is an ideal method by precise incision and mini- injury with less hemorrhages. Key words: Distichiasis; Radiosurgery; Dortzbach
