Abstract
The electricity-sale operation mode is proposed, which means the pumped storage power station has electricity-sale licenses. In this operation mode, the pumped storage power station gets the valley electricity from gird at a low price for energy storage in the nighttime. While in the daytime the pumped storage power station is used as a power plant. It supply power to large industrial users and takes a part in the electricity balance between supply and demand side, with the advantages of fast adjustment and high power storage with less loss. With the help of pumped storage power units, the load of large industrial users has the ability to track the load of power grid. And the peak and valley of electricity demand is got smooth. The pumped storage power units in electricity-sale mode are maximum called, and the profit of the pumped storage power plant is well increased. According to the principle that who benefits and who apportionment, the cost of pumped storage power plant is shared by large industrial users in demand side and grid companies, which is changed from grid companies bearing alone. The grid companies’ expenditure for the pumped storage power units calling is reduced. Only the flat electricity price can meet the operation requirements of grid companies and pumped storage power station. Large industrial users in demand side do not have to pay peak prices. Electricity price for demand side declines, and the profit of demand side is well increased. At the same time, the win-win situation is contributed. The profit of pumped storage power station is increased, the cost of power grid for energy balance is reduced and the profit of demand side is increased.
