Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of quality control circle activities on the reduction of the non-standard medicine-taking of hospitalized patients. Methods Quality control circle activities were set up. The non-standard medicine-taking factors during taking oral medicine of 50 patients in our department was investigated and the deficiencies of daily nursing was discussed and meanwhile the main causes of non-standard medicine-taking was found out.The corresponding countermeasures were formulated, organized and carried out. The standardization of the management of oral medication was fixed as the theme of the activity, and the relevant quality-improvement was carried out according to the steps of QCC. Results After the implementation of quality management circle activity, the non-standard medication was greatly reduced compared with that before the implementation, which was reduced from 36.6% to 9.4%.Target yield rate was 156.3%.The patients' satisfaction was improved from 74% to 100%, and the results were significant. Conclusions The application of quality control circle to manage the oral administration can standardize the management of oral administration, improve the nurses' sense of responsibility and guarantee the safety of nursing.Patients' satisfaction and team spirit was improved virtually.Moreover, it improves the positivity, capability and sense of professional accomplishment of the nurses, etc. Key words: Quality control circle; WeChat-based; Standardizaton; Oral medicine
