Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of Orem self-care model in the nursing of natural childbirth. Methods A total of 188 natural parturients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 94 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with Orem self-care mode, and the control group was given routine nursing. The nursing effect of the two groups was compared by the Self-Assessment Scale and Symptom Self-Rating Scale, Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale respectively after production. The hospitalization time, role reversal, complication rate and satisfaction rate of the two groups were calculated and compared by questionnaire. Results The ESCA score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group. The scores of SCL-90, HAMA and HAMD of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The duration of hospitalization of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the mother's role conversion of the observation group was faster than that of the control group. The incidence of complications of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the maternal satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Orem self-care mode applied in the natural birth maternal care can significantly improve maternal self-nursing ability, make the maternal role-change taken quickly, enhance the awareness for children and their own, improve the quality of care and maternal satisfaction. Key words: Orem self-care mode; Natural childbirth puerpera; Primipara
