Abstract

The purpose of the article is to investigate whether it is possible in modern conditions to use the previously performed land use planning activities in the northern regions of the country – in particular, during the implementation of the state program "Arctic Hectare", which is designed to include unused land plots in economic turnover. It is concluded that such development is in demand, but the disorganization of the land management service reduces the possibility of achieving an optimal balance of interests of northern land users and maximizing the potential of these territories.
