Abstract

In February of 1969 the National Jewish Hospital began to use rifampin for treatment of patients with far advanced, multiple drug resistant tuberculosis. It was also used in patients with atypical mycobacterial infections. The initial results have been reported elsewhere.1 This report summarizes the results of rifampin therapy in 136 patients who have been under treatment and followup for 6 to 35 months.
