Abstract
Several new benzimidazolium chlorides were prepared by the reaction of 1-substituted benzimidazole with chloromethylalkyl ethers or sulphides. Benzimidazolium salts like iodides, tetrafluoroborates or perchlorates were obtained by a rapid and simple method. 44 benzimidazolium salts were examined according to their antielectrostatic effect: the surface resistance, half decay time and the maximum voltage induced on polyethylene film were measured.
