Abstract

A.c. impedance measurements have been made on the Ag/Ag 4 RbI 5 interphase at positive potentials vs . Ag/Ag + . The results have been interpreted on the basis of a mechanism involving rate-determining nucleation and growth of holes in the metal surface at low overpotentials (<30 mV), changing to charge-transfer control at high overpotentials.
