Abstract
Two scales were developed, one to measure anal character traits as described in Freudian psychoanalytic theory, and the other politically aggressive These were administered to 130 college student subjects. A significant positive relation was obtained between the two scales, which is interpreted as indicating that psychoanalytic factors play a role in political attitudes.
