Abstract

The aim of the study was to consider the "image of the enemy" in the minds of Azerbaijanis and Armenians as a factor influencing the course of the military-political conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Through the use of political science, psychological approaches and axiological, comparative, and historical methods, it was revealed that the "image of the enemy" formed in the minds of the citizens of Armenia and Azerbaijan is based on value and cultural contradictions and significantly complicates the interaction of representatives of the two ethnic groups.
